As reviewed by a medical panel in the Friday, October 26, 2001 issue of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL"York Nutritional Laboratories; Uses the well-regarded ELISA test. "Our medical panel had good things to say about some kits... tests for food allergies and prostate cancer, for example, were praised for improving awareness."Using this test at home, a simple "pin-prick" to the end of the finger allows the necessary amount of blood required (50 microlitres) to perform the foodSCAN IgG ELISA Food Intolerance Test. Because of this unique benefit, you are able to save time and money by not having to have a blood draw in order to learn what foods are the cause of your ill-health.This test has been independently validated and recommended by the British Allergy Foundation. York Nutritional Laboratories which has developed and currently runs the test that you send in, is a state and federally licensed (CLIA)facility as well as being ISO 9002 certified (Europe). Additionally, the FoodSCAN test kit is CE certified and comes with a written money back guarantee - no other food intolerance testing laboratory can offer all these same assurances! When the food intolerance screening is completed, you will be sent a detailed report showing which foods were screened against, which ones tested as being positive (offending) and which ones were negative (safe).

Foods to Avoid
These foods are those where you have the most severe IgG reaction. The grades of +1, +2, +3 and +4 reflect the antibody level and should all be treated the same. It is important for you to make a strong effort to eliminate these foods from your diet entirely and you may be able to reintroduce them at a later date. (Please refer to your Food Intolerance Guidebook.) Some patients report feeling better anywhere from within a few days to a couple of weeks while others report withdrawal symptoms. This withdrawal condition is usually only for a short period of time while the body adjusts to its new diet.NUTS Cashew +1 GRAINS Gliadin (Gluten) +1
GRAINS Wheat +1 DAIRY Cows Milk +1
DAIRY Egg White +2 DAIRY Egg Yolk +1

Foods to Rotate
These foods are those where you have a moderate IgG reaction. We suggest that you limit the intake of these foods and rotate them as explained in the Rotary Diet section of your Food Intolerance Guidebook. Please Note: It is the recommendation of our United States office that the “ROTATE” foods should be treated as those reported in the “AVOID” category of your screening results. OTHERS Sunflower Seed GRAINS Rye Foods with No Reaction These foods can be eaten without restriction. However, if you are aware that any of these foods cause a non-IgG reaction in your body (i.e. - IgE-mediated, immediate, classical, etc.), please continue to avoid them in the manner you are
