What is Molecular Hydrogen?

Molecular Hydrogen is an antioxidant in preventive and therapeutic applications. Hydrogen selectively targets only the most harmful free radicals without affecting useful free radicals that help maintain homeostasis. Common, non-selective antioxidants (Vitamin A, C, E, folic acid, etc.) can diminish the good free radicals that the body needs, thereby causing a potentially negative effect. Hydrogen supports the body’s ability to maintain a condition of balance by neutralizing harmful free radicals and boosting the internal antioxidant system. This keeps oxidative stress low, supports homeostasis and decreases chance of disease.

Hydrogen gas has been shown to have a therapeutic effect on over 150 human diseases. Molecular Hydrogen is able to:

  • Improve cognitive function

  • Reduce inflammation

  • Promote cellular health

  • Increase energy

  • Have better skin health and tone

  • Improve sleeping patterns

  • Enhance athletic performance + decrease recovery time

  • Support healthy weight management

  • Hydrate at the cellular level

This is a powerful antioxidant + anti-inflammatory that helps:

  • Improve cognitive function

  • Reduce inflammation

  • Promote cellular health

  • Increase energy

  • Have better skin health and tone

  • Improve sleeping patterns

  • Enhance athletic performance + decrease recovery time

  • Support healthy weight management

  • Hydrate at the cellular level

  • Prevent hangovers

Molecular hydrogen (H₂) is a unique antioxidant. H₂ eliminates only the most harmful free radicals, reduces oxidative stress and puts the body in balance.

Due to its small size and bioavailability, it easily crosses cell membranes, the blood brain-barrier and accesses parts of the cell that other antioxidants are too large to reach. H₂ is the perfect antioxidant mediator, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptotic molecule without effecting cell signaling.

The Science Behind Molecular Hydrogen (Hydrogen Inhalation)

The Free Radical Theory of Aging holds that the damage free radicals do to our cells, particularly the oxidative stress that free radicals cause, is what causes our bodies to age. As we age, our internal defense system declines, allowing oxidative stress to accumulate and resulting in cell damage, disease and death.

Free Radicals & Oxidative Stress

Free radicals miss an electron and attack healthy cells in order to stabilize. Whether it is through essential metabolic processes within the body (mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, etc.) or from external sources (pollution, alcohol, heavy metals, pesticides, etc.), we're constantly exposed to free radicals. The more this occurs, the more oxidative stress builds and harms our health.

Most Harmful Free Radicals: Hydroxyl Radical & Peroxynitrite

The hydroxyl radical and peroxynitrite are the most dangerous free radicals. Their need to steal an electron is so powerful they attack healthy DNA, protein and lipids. This causes irreversible damage to cells and an increase in health challenges and disease.

How H₂ Works - Size

Molecular hydrogen is the smallest molecule and the only antioxidant that can access the mitochondria and cell nucleus under certain conditions. Unlike conventional, larger antioxidants, H₂ passes the the cell membrane and begins exerting benefits immediately.

Selectivity

H₂ selectively targets only the most harmful free radicals without affecting useful free radicals that help maintain homeostasis. At times, common, non-selective antioxidants (Vitamin A, C, E, folic acid, etc.) can diminish the good free radicals that the body needs, thereby causing a potentially negative effect. H₂ does not.

Safe, Non-Toxic

Molecular hydrogen is 100% safe due to its only byproduct being water. You cannot overdose and are never exposed to toxins from molecular hydrogen.

Homeostasis

H₂ supports the body’s ability to maintain a condition of balance by neutralizing harmful free radicals and boosting the internal antioxidant system. This keeps oxidative stress low, supports homeostasis and decreases chance of disease.
